FAQ

The current release stays deliberately narrow: a personal self-hosted RSS recommendation reader.

Will Dibao recommend content I did not subscribe to?

No. Recommendations only happen inside the RSS / Atom sources you added.

Can I use it without a provider?

Yes. Reading, search, favorites, read later, and baseline ranking remain available.

Does the current release support multiple users or cloud sync?

No. One instance is for one user, and there is no official hosted sync service.

Does it support OAuth or password recovery?

Not in the current release.

Does the PWA store full articles offline?

Not yet. The PWA foundation covers installability, update prompts, and an offline app shell.

Can full-content fetching read any website?

No. It does not execute JavaScript, bypass paywalls, or save images. If extraction fails, the RSS body remains readable.

Dibao v0.2.0 is live. Follow the docs quick install guide and run it with Docker on your own host.
